Description

This is a "New Rando Mark-2" version of the Grand Cru crank. I've been unable to discern the differences from the current model aside from shorter tapers and a recessed "VO" decal vs the usual "VO Grand Cru" in a wreath decal.  I prefer this more classically styled version, which more closely resembles the format of the Stronglight 49.

These are a US-made, modernized rendition of the famous TA Pro 5 Vis "Cyclotouriste" and Stronglight 49D 50.4mm BCD cranks.  They're favorites of randonneur and cyclo touring riders.  They look like the classics, but feature modernized details like shifting pins/ramps, thicker (less flexy) chainrings, and compatibility with modern JIS square taper BB's and English pedals.  This one is set up in the standard 30/46t compact double, but can also be set up as a triple and uses chainrings ranging from use a wide range of chainrings from 28t to 62t.  It's compatible with both modern V.O. rings and the vintage Stronglight/TA rings!

These cranks are practically non-existent on the used market, and these are barely used!

Condition

New, though it seems it's been mounted on a bottom bracket. I see zero signs a chain has touched the rings, and the rings/arms are in new condition aside from marks inside the bb tapers.
