Item Condition

I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description

This mid 1980's Superbe Pro rear derailleur is considered one of the best friction derailleurs ever!  It's super smooth and quiet, and reliable to no end.  Plus, it looks great!  It may not have the prestige of a Campy Super Record, but it outperforms both Campagnolo and Dura Ace by a long shot.  Still has it's original sealed jockey wheels.

Condition:

Great used condition.  The lower left knuckle has a minor scrape and the faceplate has some fading, but otherwise just very light marks here and there.  The logos are in excellent condition (which is rare for these models!).  Pulleys spin super smoothly, little wear on the teeth.

Details:

  • Short cage
  • Compatible with 5, 6, 7, 8 speed

Sell / Trade / Donate

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
