Description
Description
Rare long cage touring / MTB version of the RD-5300! This mid 1980's Superbe Pro rear derailleur is considered one of the best friction derailleurs ever! It's super smooth and quiet, and reliable to no end. Plus, it looks great! It may not have the prestige of a Campy Super Record, but it outperforms both Campagnolo and Dura Ace by a long shot. This 1983-1986 derailleur is similar to the famous Cyclone MK-2, but even lighter. The Superbe version of this is labeled RD-5300.
This generation of Superbe Pro RD came in both silver anodized throughout, and this version that's silver plus a matte champagne colored faceplate.
Condition:
Barely ridden, less than 100 miles! Very close to mint with a touch of dirt. Clean it up better and this will pass for NOS! No scrapes or other significant wear. Show bike worthy! The shiny silver decal is perfect.
Details:
- Long cage
- Silver w/ champagne faceplate

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
