I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description
Description
The Spirt (yes, Spirt and not Spirit) derailleur was a "backwards" high normal derailleur from the mid 70's to early 80's. When the cable pulls on the derailleur, it shifts into the smaller rings, and when cable tension is released it goes to a larger ring. This is the same setup seen on those plastic Simplex derailleurs from the 70's, as well as the Suntour Compe V. It was often seen paired to the Suntour V GT or Honor rear derailleur.
Condition
Near mint with relatively low miles. The cage and body are in wonderful condition with hardly a mark. There are two incorrect bolts that have been replaced with modern hex bolts, one of the clamp bolts and the cable cinch bolt.
Details
- 28.6mm clamp
- Steel

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
