I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description
Description
Introduced in 1975, the Cyclone model was Suntour's first venture into the high end road market, and was a direct competitor of the mighty Campagnolo Nuovo Record. In fact, it was lighter and better performing than the Campy derailleur! At 179 grams, this is considered one of the finest friction derailleurs ever made. The entire derailleur is hignly polished, and finely machined.
Condition:
MINT! Hardly a mark on it. Cage is straight and tight, pulleys are smooth as butter with practically no tooth wear. Some very minor scratches on body, but nothing noteworthy. The black anodizing on the faceplate is nearly perfect. It's been cleaned thorougly, but with a deep cleaning of the nooks and crannies this will look nearly NOS

- Short cage
- 179g
- Model: 5902, RD-1700

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
