*This is a lot of four shifters, and a mismatched clamp/base piece.  None of these are an exact matching pair, and are from different generations.  The two shifters on the left are missing their clamp bolt (easy replacement).  The two on the right are missing their clamp/bases.  The extra base appears like it should fit one of the shifters on the right, but it's sized a bit oddly?*

Command shifters were Suntour's answer to STI and Ergopower shifters, and are often referred to as butterfly shifters.  Their most popular use is on Dirt Drops handlebars popularized by John Tomac and Yeti.  They mount on drop road bike handlebars, usually to the inside of the brake levers.  They were MUCH more reliable than early STI shifters, as they used proven thumb shifter technology.  Of course history erased this style of shifter quick as STI's improved, but they're still a piece of history and an alternative to costly and finicky integrated shifters.  They're also popular with the monstercross and cyclocross crowds.

Condition

Mint lightly used condition.  The shifting is smooth and crisp.  Bodies, wings, clamps, and end caps barely have a mark.  See top note about mismatched and missing parts.
