Item Condition
I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description
Description
This is an AW 3sp hub, which has been modified to have a chain on both sides of the hub (apparently by Sheldon Brown Instructions CLICK HERE). The outside of the left hand ball cup is the same diameter as the interior of a freewheel thread, and after brazing, is soft enough that a freewheel can cut threads into it. So, a 16 tooth BMX freewheel is threaded onto the left side. This results in a hub that can be driven via a freewheel on the left and via fixed gear on the right, but the freewheel is reversed, so the hub is used with the freewheel is on the right and the shift chain is on the left. Despite the suspect nature of the mechanical connection, I've cranked the crap out of it and it appears to be holding quite well.
I don't know anything about what was actually done to this hub or if it was done correctly, and it is sold AS IS
*All of these catalogs came from a closed Schwinn dealer called Kings Cyclery in Casper, Wyoming that I bought out. Everything was ordered directly from the Schwinn factory.
Condition
Excellent cosmetic condition. Bearings are buttery smooth. This has not been tested. It seems to be missing a spacer behind the black cog, as there's a few mm's of space between it and the dust cap.

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
