Item Condition

I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description

This the first version of the legendary Specialized Ground Control mountain bike tire, introduced in 1986 and ran in this format through the 1980's (the 1990's saw renditions such as the Ground Control/S, Umma Gumma, Extreme, etc). Wonderful choice of rideable tires for any early mountain bike!

Condition

Barely ridden, rideable, and show bike worthy.  Supple and very close to mint with very low miles. Hardly any tread wear, a few intact molding nipples. No cracking, crackling on bending, or dryness.  Even between the knobbies! Aesthetically these are very clean with only dirt between the knobbies and a few discoloration spots on the sidewalls. Decals are almost perfect.  *these are still 30-40 year old rubber and should be ridden EXTREMELY carefully.

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
