Description

This is a rear wheel for Stingray Krate and other muscle bikes. It has an original Stingray Slik S-2 tire in excellent condition.  I'm not sure if this is an original Schwinn rim, as it's a bit different than most S2 models. Though it is definitely the same size as S2.

*All of these catalogs came from a closed Schwinn dealer called Kings Cyclery in Casper, Wyoming that I bought out.  Everything was ordered directly from the Schwinn factory. 

Condition

Excellent used shape.  Rim is true and free of dents/cracks.  Hub spins smoothly and looks great with the exception of a little worn paint on the red band.  The rim joint appears to have been filed down, and there's a rough spot on either side of the joint.  Sidewalls of rim are clean otherwise.  There's the slightest bit of surface corrosion around the spoke holes, but it's not as bad as it looks in the photos.

The tire is excellent or better.  Tread isn't worn down.  Sidewalls are supple and in great shape, with zero cracking except for a line of cracking just below the protruding ridge.
