Description

The DuoPar derailleur is has the widest gear ratio ability of ANY road bike derailleur in existance to this day.  It has two parallelograms, which allows it to shift up to a massive 36 tooth cog!  When set up correctly, these are amazing derailleurs.  Widely renowned as one of the best choices for vintage touring bikes.  It came on many early 80's models like the Trek 620 and 520.  Rather hard to find NOS or even great shape!

The first version of the DuoPar had a lot of titanium parts, but was prohibitively expensive.  Thus, it didn't sell well and this Eco model was released to rave reviews.  The titanium models are pretty much unobtanium, but sell for big money when they pop up.

Condition

Near mint very lightly used shape. This one was on my recently sold early Klein Stage, which was used for one tour in colorado and then hung on the wall.  Face, plastic cover, and pulleys have almost no wear.  Just a few minor marks on the body and cage.  Spring and pulleys feel great.
