I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Description
The Peak was Raleigh's top of the line mountain bike in the early 90's. John Tomac made the Technium line emmensely popular. The frame featured Easton E9 anodized tubing, bonded to cold forged steel lugs, which provided an amazingly stiff but compliant ride quality. The graphics are killer! This is definitely an attention getting frame. My best estimate is this is a 1991 or 1992 model. This bike would have come built with an XT M739 group, XT clipless pedals, and Onza H.O. canti brakes (many of these parts are listed on this site)
The Manitou Three fork was an upgraded fork, as this frame came with a rigid fork. The Manitou 3 was produced in 1992 and 1993, and was a super high end fork in it's day! I just disassembled and cleaned the fork, and it's in great shape. Elastomers are supple, and not deteriorated at all. Smooth, plush suspension. Roughly 80mm travel (estimate). 1 1'8" threadless steerer
Size: Seattube measures 18 inches c-t, 16.5" c-c. Should fit someone roughly 5ft 8 to 6ft
Great condition! Overall, it looks great. The paint on the lugs/stays have a few minor scratches/chips, and the drive side chainstay has paint worn off from chain suck. Original decals are in great shape (although the "peak" logo on the top tube has some chips). Metal headbadge in great shape. Various period correct stickers adorn the frame and add to it's character.
- Includes 1 1'8" Tioga threadless headset w/pink top cap, Manitou Three fork, and Shimano (XT?) bottom bracket, and stem in great shape
- Uses cantilever brakes, though has a stop that could make it work with v-brakes

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
