Item Condition

I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description

This is the basic bike appraisal service.  I have been selling used and vintage bikes for 15 years, and the biggest takeaway I've learned is your starting price can make the difference between a quick sale and a bike that just sits no matter how many times you lower the price.  Let me help you find a fair listing price that will give you the best chance of a quick sale without leaving hundreds or even thousands on the table.

Purchase this service, and then respond to the order confirmation email with photos and description of your bicycle.  I will compare my past sales of similar bikes as well as search my (paid) price research platforms, and respond with four prices:

  • Top dollar pricing that is likely to sell within several months
  • Average price that will be attractive on the market and encourage a quicker sale.
  • Price if you want it gone within a week
  • My offer to purchase the bicycle from you, if I am interested

**If you decide to sell your item to me, I will refund the cost of this appraisal**

Sell / Trade / Donate

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
