Description
Description
These are a rare early version of the famed Mod 64 Giro D' Italia road drop bars. This bar has the "old logo" Cinelli shield crest on one side of the clamp area, and Mod Giro D' Italia in a wreath of ivy on the other. This model changed to the new Flying C logo in 1978, and these are MUCH more common. This one in particular is from the late 1960's or early 70's, as evidenced by 3 bands of ridges (vs later 70's that had one solid band of ridges all the way across the clamp area).
This is ideal for a period correct 1960's or 1970's classic road bike restoration. Once installed in a stem, there will be no difference between this bar and a mid to late 70's version, as the stem clamp covers up the blank space between the ridges.
This is a 38cm (c-c) version, and the only other size offered in the 70's was 40cm.
Condition
This bar is new old stock, though it has been installed on a show bicycle. It's not pristine, but it's damn close. It has zero miles, and has just a few TINY surface marks here and there (primarily on the wrapped areas). Clean enough for any show bike.

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
