Description

This tubular pista wheel was made by HED and branded by Specialized.  HED used this wheel as their own as well, and it's model was HED-3.  120mm spacing and locknuts. Comes with a Celeste sidewall Michelin Service Course sew up tire (22x700) and a lightly used Suntour Superbe Pro NJS cog in 14t x 1/8".  Pretty rare wheel, especially NOS.  

Condition

Appears new old stock, take off.  This was installed on a show bike, and shows no real signs of use.  The braking surface looks like a pad has never or just barely touched it.  The tire tread looks unridden, and still has it's factory wax coating.  Cog is used lightly, and there's a bit of grease on the axle I seem to have missed cleaning.  The rim is true to within tiny fractions of a millimeter I can't even measure, probably as true as it was from the factory or damn close.  Bearings are buttery smooth.  The only blemish I can find is a black mark bottom left of the valve cutout, and a few very light scuffs on the carbon. Overall very clean and show worthy, just short of perfect
