Description
These legendary WTB-designed tires made from the late 1980's to 1993 were way ahead of their time. The tread pattern is chunky and blocky with aggressive side knobs. These were the more aggressive version of the Ground Control S in folding bead. These were stock or desired upgrades on Klein Attitude, Stumpjumper Ultimate/Epic, some Fat Chance, and many other early 1990's bikes. Perhaps the ultimate tire for pro racer level retro mountain bike restorations? These are EXTREMELY rare, especially new.
Condition
New old stock, never mounted! These are absolutely pristine, stored indoors at a legendary bike shop since new and they've been in my shop for 3 years now. I haven't found another resto bike worthy of them, so I thought I would post them. Sidewalls and tread feel as supple as a new tire made in 2020, with zero signs of dryness, gumminess, or cracking. Inside and outside of casings are clean, with just a couple very light dirty spots that can probably be washed off. Tread still has factory wax and molding nipples. *Photos of them on a 1991 Klein Attitude were a second set of identical tires I had, in the exact same condition*
