Item Condition

I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description

The rare Specialized Direct Drive headset was Big S's top level headset in the early to mid 1990's, and was found on many iterations of the Stumpjumper and Stumpjumper Ultimate.  It features a roller bearing lower cup to eliminate headset shimmy mated to a standard ball bearing upper. It has a quite low stack height at 38mm.  It is eerily similar in profile to the Rene Herse Low Stack Height headset and has the same stack measurement.

Condition

New old stock, never installed! Very little shop wear.

Sell / Trade / Donate

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
