Description

Maxi Car hubs are the top choice for French Randonneur bikes and Constructeur bicycles from the 1930's to present.  They are exquisitely machined to the closest of tolerances possible, and are the epitome of high quality.  They are also extremely rare.  I believe this set of tandem hubs is a Type 2b, which was made from 1950 to 1962.  It also looks similar to the more modern 1980's and 90's version.  Perhaps a Randonee expert out there can help me positively identify these.

Condition

New old stock, and close to perfect.  The only real blemish is a scratch on the outside of a flange on the front hub.  Otherwise they could pass for being made last year!  The polished finish is clear and shiny.  Red end caps near pristine.  Hub shell stickers look great.  Bearings are buttery smooth and properly adjusted.
