Talk about obscure! The internet claims only one photo of this lusty bash ring / chainring combo, which was sold on a forum back in 2005. Not a single other reference to it anywhere to be found on Google. If you ride an iconic vintage downhill mountain bike such as a San Andreas Mountain Cycle, Giant MCM, or Intense M1 / Uzzi DH, this is for you!
This is a single 48 tooth chainring with an integral bash ring, made in the 1990's for Coda Magic Motorcycle 900M cranksets. Note that it is made for crank spiders with curved ends, like the MM crank has. If you look just below the chainring bolt holes at the ledge the spider end rests on, you will notice a curved "lip" at the left edge, that will wrap around the curved spider end. This likely was done to increase stiffness.
Condition
New old stock, never mounted. Teeth are absolutely perfect, a chain has NEVER touched them. Very slight shop wear to the finish.
