Description

The only new old stock example of this derailleur I've ever seen. It was Campagnolo's top level front mech from 1954 (the first year the world logo appeared on this derailleur) to 1957 when the Record model was released.  The first gen was from 1951 to 1953, with the winged wheel logo.  The Gran Sport FD was continued into the mid 1960's, and was removed somewhere before the #15 catalog in 1967.  This Gran Sport was chrome plated and had nicer castings and details compared to the similar but dull grey coated Valentine model.  Often called the matchbox or pushrod derailleur.  

Condition

New old stock, never installed, and VERY close to absolute pristine! Perfect for your 1950's or 60's Campy L'Eroica restoration.  Only extremely minor patina from being 60+ years old.
