Description

Super rare new old stock example of the 2nd gen Campy C-Record rear derailleur circa ~1987 to 1989.  This second generation was in my opinion the most refined aesthetically out of the three generations.  It is easily distinguished by it's twin pivot bolts, bold "Campagnolo" script on a heavily shaped faceplate, covered upper jockey wheel and uncovered lower.

The 1st gen was polished rather than the 2nd/3rd gen's anodized silver, and has a much larger and flatter faceplate as well as both jockey wheels covered (many other differences but these are the obvious ones).  The later 1990's R010 featured a barrel adjuster for indexed shifter use, and it lost it's upper pivot bolt.

Condition

New old stock!  These were installed on a show bike, test rode around the block after the initial tune, and sat on display ever since.  It is very close to pristine.  From a couple feet away it easily passes as never installed.  The anodized finish is consistent and clean throughout with zero marks/wear.  The only wear to the anodizing is two ~1mm light spots above the b-limit screw on the edge closest to derailleur hanger (where Patent appears on NR/SR derailleurs).  The only way to tell it's been on a bike is a bit of chain rub on the inside of the cage plates and some small dirt spots between the otherwise very clean jockey wheels.

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
