Item Condition

I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description

This very early Nitto stem in the style of the 1930's Reynolds Girder stem or 1950's GB I-Beam stem.  It was produced from roughly 1965 to the late 1970's.  From my research, this could be the very first stem Nitto made.

It's milled out on the sides, creating that distinct I Beam shape.  The top features a pronounced ridge that tapers to a point near the bar clamp.

Condition

Great used shape, only light cosmetic wear. Hardware is very clean, with the exception of some chrome wear on the clamp nut.

Sell / Trade / Donate

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
