Description

The early 1980's Nitto Crystemblue version of their popular Crystem quill is one of the truly scarce and sought after components of the contemporary cycling world.  It was released in low quantities (and at a super high price) at the same time Shimano was pushing their Dura Ace AX aerodynamic group, and the stem is a radical departure from the standard quill.  It was released with a matching bar, the equally rare Nitto ADB125AA.  It features a blatantly obvious removable faceplate.

These found love in all corners of cycling.  Every roadie wanted one.  They've often been found on prestigious Yamaguchi and 3Rensho track bikes.  Even old school BMX riders love them.  Good luck finding another in this short 80mm length!

Condition

Great used condition.  The clamp, horizontal shaft, and top of the quill look great with only minor marks here and there.  The right side decal looks excellent, though the left side decal is starting to peel up slightly.  The quill has lots of marks below/around the minimum insertion line, but that will be inside the steerer and hidden.
