Description

NIB, RARE!  In 1982, Suntour was at the height of it's reign over the bike industry, and they went all out on this derailleur.  In 82, the Superbe Tech was like Shimano Di2 was 3 years ago!  Uber expensive, high tech, and out of everybody's reach.  This is often called the most exotic and beautiful derailleur ever made! These were designed for touring bikes, and were often used on early mountain bikes.  It was essentially the prettied up, nicer version of the Mountech, the world's 1st mountain bike specific derailleur.

It was (and still is!) the only derailleur EVER to have a completely enclosed parallelogram.  It's also the only derailleur ever to have no need for a cable housing into the derailleur.  The cable runs under the bottom bracket, through a radiused cable guide (included!), and directly to the derailleur's cable pinch bolt.  This eliminated the possibility of dirt gumming anything up and slowing shifting. 

New, in box, never installed.  Absolutely perfect!  Includes the original Suntour labeled cable guide (RARE!), and a hanger to mount on frames that need a direct mount.
