I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description
Description
This is the ONLY top mount shifter I'm aware of that works as a clamp on! A short lived innovation from SunTour, the Symmetric shifters mounted to a single braze-on boss similar to a water bottle mount, located on the top tube of some Japanese bikes from 1982-83 (Bridgestone, Miyata, Shogun, Panasonic, Univega, plus Italian racers from Colnago, Pinarello, etc) It has a self-trimming design, the rear shifter "trims" to prevent the need to overshift and then move your lever back down into position.
Condition
New old stock in retail box. No real shop wear, never mounted. Note the clamp bolt is missing, it's a pretty standard bolt.
Details
- clamp for standard 1 1/8" downtube
- Friction only
- 5/6/7/8 speed, double/triple compatible

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
