Description

Quite rare short cage rear derailleur from the early 1990's 8 speed Campy Off Road mtb group Icarus.  Icarus was 2nd only to Record O.R.  In short cage form, it is quite similar to Chorus from the same years.  The only cosmetic difference is the upper pulley's outer plate on Chorus has a cutout, where it's a solid plate on this Icarus.  One could speculate that the mtb derailleurs had some extra strength/durability built in over the road RD's, but I can't speak to this.  It's also very similar in appearance to the Euclid derailleur, the biggest difference apparent is the Euclid uses white jockey wheels.
