Description

Untouched set of 2nd gen Nuovo Gran Sport brakes and levers from about 1983 to 1987.  This set has G.S. on the caliper arms, and the earlier ones starting in the 1978 Catalog #17 had "Gran Sport".  The arms themselves are identical to Nuovo Record arms (aside from the G.S. stamp).  The three differences lie with the knurled barrel adjuster and an on/off only segmented QR lever vs the NR's infinite adjustability cam lever, and lack of tire guides on the pad holders.  Braking performance is exactly the same.

Condition

New old stock in original retail box.  These have lived their entire lives in their box in a collectors house, and are pristine except for one hood has a long cut on the side from a not-careful-enough removing of bubble wrap protection when they were shipped.  The photo showing the hood's crack close up was with the hood physically moved apart to show the tear.  When sitting normally, all you can see is what appears as a faint hairline fracture. This will look just fine on a show bike, but should be replaced if you plan to ride these much. (repro hoods are easily found around $20+).  Retail box is in wonderful condition.
