Description

Middleburn cranks are a mix of small custom builder "cool" factor with the reliability and strength of the mass market components.  The arms are shapely, with a lovely silver anodized finish.  They are a modular system, the arms matching to several different spider/ring combinations, under the Uno, Duo, and Trio monikers. Their closest (and much more readily available) competition are the White Industries Eno & VBC.

This one is the RS7, which is the mtb & gravel version of the R01.  The only real difference is Q factor, the RS7 being a bit wider than the R01's road oriented setup.  It's design is still quite similar to the vintage 1990's Middleburn cranksets.

Middleburn RS7 cranks are compatible with square taper type bottom brackets. The RS7-SQ-175 crankset weight is approximately 434g including the lock ring. Middleburn RS7 cranks are available in the lengths of 160, 165, 170, 175 and 180mm in a choice of either a silver or black finish. All Middleburn cranks are machined with a jis taper.

 

Middleburn cranks were first developed in 1991 and since then the cranks have undergone many refinements.

 

The cranks are hot forged from high quality 7075 T6 aluminium. They then go through a CNC machined process and are then hand polished followed by anodised before being re-machined with the Middleburn logo. All cranks go through the same procedure so whichever crank arm you choose will be to the best quality.

 

Condition

New, take off with just a few miles.  Perfect, as new with no wear to note past some dirt/marks on the backs of the arms. This DOES include the lockring (I just forgot to put it back on before photographing)
