LOVELY Trimmed Ideale 80 Record Leather Saddle: Swallow-Shaped, Show Bike Condition

This is a one of a kind, professionally trimmed Ideale 80 Record saddle, likely from the 1970's or late 60's.  The leather top has been custom shaped into a narrow, race-inspirerd form, similar to the profile of a Brooks Swallow.  It was likely trimmed by a pro race team or mechanic, and was executed with perfection.  

The color is similar to a Brooks Antique Brown, with the wonderful variances only age can produce.  It's a deep luxurious brown, with a hint of red.  It's in exceptional condition with a light touch of just the right vintage patina, and it would be well suited to any show bike or your best rider.  Simply elegant, and only 495 grams.  You'll never find another like it.

Condition

Exceptional lightly used shape.  The leather has NO cracking, dryness, or excessive softness, or damage.  The leather is supple, and flexes willingly.  Once flexed, there are still no micro-cracks showing.  The rivets look great with no tarnishing or rust.  Rails and frame have no rust, but some variances in finish.  The leather has just slight and even sitbone indents, showing low use.  Rear corners have very light wear, that appears to be the sort from leaning against a wall rather than being laid down.
