Description

This is a rare set of the 1st hydraulic brakes Hayes ever made!  Made in very early 2000's, I believe this is a 2nd gen.  They feature the highly sought after "Danger boy" Flip-flop levers, which can be removed without removing the grips and can be mounted on either side of the bars.  This model is a classic black. They use standard Hayes HFX 9/mag pads, which are readily available at any bike shop.

The rear mount is a 22mm "Hayes Direct Mount", which was found on some Klein, Trek (Trek 8000, Trek 8900), Gary Fisher, and other bikes from about 1999 to 2001.  The brake mounts to braze on's on the chainstay.  This mount is not made anymore, so if you have a bike with this mount you don't have many other options!  

Condition

Great used shape.  Brakes have a good bleed, and nearly new pads.  Great looking with only a few minor paint marks.
