Description
This is an early to mid 1980's Unicanitor Superleggera, with alloy wishbone rails and the big Flying C logo on the side. It has a lovely smooth leather cover that's a bit textured and shows it's grain well.
Before the legendary Cinelli Unica-Nitor saddle was released in the 1960's, all saddles were either Brooks style solid leather, or plastic junk. The Unicantor was the first to have a plastic shell, (some) covered with a bit of padding and leather. It's the basic premise most modern saddles are based on! One of the most influential bicycle components of the 20th century.
Condition
Near mint lightly used shape. It's cleaner in person than the photos show, the leather is shiny and reflections cover the leather in spots. The only real wear to note is general dye wear on the rear end. Decals are excellent.
