Chris King ISO MTB Hubset: 2012 Plum Purple! 32H x 8/9/10sp - 6 Bolt Disc - Boost 110mm 20QR x 135mm QR (NEW)

Rare limited edition purple Chris King ISO disc mountain bike hubs! This was THE hub to have in the 2000's as disc brakes took over the mtb scene. They were CK's second disc mtb hub, introduced in 2001. The first was the Disc-Go-Tech hubs which featured a proprietary rotor mounting system but otherwise looked about the same.

RARE 2012 limited edition dark purple color! Chris King originally made a VERY limited run of this purple for Independent Fabrication early/mid 2012, and then expanded to be a limited color for the rest of 2012 only.  This is NOT 3DV purple made legendary in the 1990's by Ringle and Grafton, which was essentially ultraviolet purple that turned bright fuschia pink in bright light.  It was a LOUD color, from a loud era. In contrast the 2012 purple is elegant and classy like fine wine in a leather filled speakeasy. It is plum gem tones in the shade that bleeds vibrant berry in the sunlight, reminiscent of a ripe blackberry's juice on your fingers in the summer.

This small collection of purple I'm selling is on consignment from a dealer who bought a pile of it new direct from Chris King in 2012 as an investment. It is New old stock in the truest sense of the word. They've all sat in their packages untouched all these years.
