Item Condition
I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description
Description
This is a 1996 Record ti rear derailleur, the year before the Record gruppo changed over to 9 speed in 1997. Cosmetically the 9 speed rear derailleur is almost identical, just "9 speed" is added below the Record logo. The cosmetic condition is rough, thus the super low price (these go for over $300 when they're near mint). Great for your beater bike, or use for parts! The titanium wing-shaped barrel adjuster is hard to find, and came stock on many 8 and 9 speed derailleurs from Record and Chorus lines mostly. Perhaps you need a cleaner ti upper pivot bolt, or a very hard to source cable cinch bolt/washer.
Condition
Super bargain price due to some condition issues. The derailleur is fully functional, though the jockey wheel bushings are worn out and thus there's some play in the pulleys. The real condition issue was caused when someone had this in a parts washer too long. Sections of the anodized finish wore off in the washer, which is evident on the faceplate & around the lower pivot bolt housing. There's some random scratching throughout.

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
