Description

This early NR front derailleur was produced ~1963 to 1968.  This one has a slotted cable stop.  The slot was introduced in 1963, and the cable stop was removed in 1969.  It has an alloy upper arm, which changed from the original bronzed steel somewhere in the mid 1960's. So this one is more precisely at least made starting 1964.  

Condition

Great used shape.  There is light normal wear throughout the alloy parts, but overall it looks really nice.  Outer cage plate is mint.  Clamp bolt head has a touch of chrome wear and tiny pitting spots, but hardware otherwise is near mint.  Good enough for show bikes with patina, or many miles of riding left.
