Campagnolo Record EC-12RE CG Ergo Shifters: 1993 - 8 Speed Triple/Double - Chorus (NEAR MINT++)

Exceptionally clean set of the rare 1st gen v2 1993 2nd year ergo shifters!  They are distinguished from the v1 1992 version by the 1) presence of diagonal lines on shift blades the 92' did not have, 2) 93' and later had smoothly curved blade ends while the 92 had a bulbous clunky end and 3) the 92' had a triangular inner side body and 93' went to the oval shape.  The EC-12RE CG model name was used in 1992 & 1993, for all of their gruppos with ergo shifters, including Record, Chorus, and Athena.

These have the sharpest and most industrial indexing feel I have ever seen on Ergo shifters!  Each shift has an instantaneous, precise, and heavy notch into place.  It's night and day compared to newer shifters or more used 1st gen.

Condition

Show bike worthy very lightly used shape!  Shifting is perfect with no hesitation or sloppiness.  Shield logos are perfect (some pics have reflection over the logos making this harder to tell). Aside from a touch of hood texture worn down, these appear to have been ridden very few miles.  Lever blades and plastic surrounds are very close to perfect.  There are just a few blemishes. 1) front shifter has a couple scratches to the inside of the logo 2) rear shifter blade has some scratching about half an inch from the tip on the inside edge.  These are both hardly noticeable in person. 

I can't get the hood upper tips to stay in place perfectly, as you can see in the photos.  Original mold hoods are still available for $20-30.  Search their model number EC-RE500 on google or Ebay.
