Description

This is a 1st generation Rally long cage derailleur, of the 2nd type which has a reinforced neck to address the cracking issues the 1975 Rally RD had.  A favorite of touring cyclists who run a triple crank, as it's the prettiest and most reliable long cage rear derailleur of the classic era.  They were produced from 1975-1982.

Condition

Near mint or better very lightly used condition.  Faceplate is mint, zero knuckle or pivot bolt scrapes! Pulleys are super smooth, pivots and springs are tight and smooth.  This shows the usual cage plate scratches.  There is some dirt in the corners, and if you clean that this bike will be very show worthy!
