Description

High flange NR/SR hubs are the gold standard for classic road bicycle restorations from the 1960's to late 1980's.  They are drop dead gorgeous, last forever, spin like butter, and add another level of prestige to your bike!  The Record level hubs have replaceable cups and nicer axles/cones than the similar but inferior Gran Sport and Tipo hub.  

These are from the Nuovo Record Strada gruppo, and was often issued with the Super Record gruppo.  True Super Record hubs ONLY difference is they have 6/4V titanium axles (made by O.M.A.S.), and are exceedingly scarce.  

This set features 120mm rear spacing and flat blade quick release levers, indicating a build date between 1963 and 1977.  1960-1963 hubs were "No Record", and omitted the word Record from the hub shell.  1978 and later hubs have curved blade QR's, thanks to the CPSC.  36 spoke hole front and rear.

Condition

Excellent used condition.  Bearings are buttery and well adjusted!  Cosmetically they're clean enough for some show bikes with patina, or most riders.  Inner shells are very clean.  Outer edges of flanges have spoke wear and some other wear.  Skewers are excellent or better but have a bit of scraping to the cam ends, mostly on the rear.
