Description
Early 1970's NR rear derailleur, for your L'Eroica ride or restoration bicycle. The faceplate's texture varied throughout the years, and this is one of the more bizarre I've seen. Many of the early editions have very small and uniform square pebble texture, with varying space between them. This one is uniform in the center of the faceplate, and towards the edges the pebble protrusions seem to have a "trail" leading outward, like a falling star. (If anyone has info on why/when Campy made these texture changes, I would LOVE to hear from you!
Condition:
Average or better used shape. Parallelogram pivots are tight and smooth, as is the cage spring. Pulleys seem nearly new, they must have been replaced at some point. Some knuckle and pivot bolt scrapes/scuffs. No corrosion anywhere. The usual scratching on the back of cage plates.
