Description

Produced for one year only, the 1978 Nuovo Record is a beautiful yet flawed design.  The 4th hole (the one separated from the others) had a bad habit of catching the chain.  This hole was removed for the 1979 model year, and thus we had the gold standard 3 hole Nuovo/Super Record front derailleur we all know.  This is almost a requirement for late 1970's show bikes, but use with caution for bikes you plan to ride a lot.

Condition

Mostly in nice shape, though the cage plates have a touch of pitting starting.  The parallelogram arms and clamp are in excellent shape.  Clamp bolt has a bit of wrench flat wear and pitting.

  • Model: 0104007 (according to Velobase, though this doesn't fit the Campy model format at all)
