Description

This is a custom fluted example of the 1972 NR 2-bolt seatpost, identified by the lack of a minimum insertion line that appeared in 1972. More obvious are the gorgeous long oval shaped flutes.  These are very well done flutes, with fine edges and even throughout. I especially like that they progressively get taller on the sides to fill the spaces between the front/back logo and patent Campagnolo text.  

The Campy two bolt clamp seatpost is needed for many restorations from the 1960's and 70's.  They allow extremely fine saddle angle adjustment, as well as fore/aft rail adjustments without adjusting angle (by loosening only ONE bolt).  May not be the lightest post out there, but you will NOT break it!  It'll last forever.

Condition

The shaft has marks throughout, but none are really deep.   This one could be lightly polished to bring back it's aesthetics, or ridden as is.  The clamp and hardware are very clean with just a touch of chrome wear on the edges of the wrench flats.
