Item Condition

I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description

This is a front brake set consisting of a Chorus RS BR-02CH Monoplanar brake and Chorus PowerGrade brake lever, both in the increasingly rare "Graphite" finish.  The Graphite was a darker grey than the Century finish, which was only offered at the Record level.  This was the top of the line Monoplanar brake ever made, as Record at the time was always the beautiful but flawed Delta brakes.

Condition

The brake lever appears NOS, except the clamp looks like it has been mounted.  The lever and hood is as pristine as they come.  The brake caliper is in mint condition, barely a mark.  The hardware have some very minor marks.  Brake pads are non-original, and come from a Super Record brake but are in excellent condition.  Perfect for a show bike or display cabinet!

Sell / Trade / Donate

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
