Description

This is an original OEM spoke protector from the early 1950's Campy Paris-Roubaix shifting system.  It appears in catalog 12 (1951), showing this in both "Per 4" and "Per 5" configurations, the number being the number of cogs.  I would imagine this 5 is just a bit larger than the 4., with all else being the same.  5 speed was only offered on the Paris-Roubaix, though this will work just fine with either the 1940'sCambio Corsa or Paris Roubaix in either 4-speed or 5-speed.  These systems were very popular in the Tour De France!

This will also function as a standard spoke protector for modern derailleurs!

Quite a rare piece worthy of your antique show bike, TDF history showcase, or in your bike shop display.

Condition

Near mint, either very lightly used or new with shop wear.  There are a few tiny surface marks in the finish, they're hard to notice in person. perhaps they will polish out if you need pristine. Good enough for the cleanest of show bikes.
