Item Condition

I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description

This is the 5th generation Campy Corsa Record Delta brakeset, from the early 1990's. They are identified via the 5 internal pivots & laser etched logo.  C-Record is differentiated from the Croce D' Aune Delta brakes as Croce has the springs exposed on the back and Record is completely enclosed.

These are the most powerful version, as the 5 pivots provide more leverage and efficiency. If you want to ride with Delta brakes, these are really the ones you want.  Their feel and power get closer to matching standard road calipers, where the earlier generations fail to do much more than slow your bike.

Condition:

Near mint to mint VERY lightly used shape!  Logos are perfect.  The front caliper is very close to perfect, aside from some dirt in the rubber accordion bellows.  The rear isn't too far off mint either.  It has slight discoloration dead center on the bottom of the faceplate, some underside wear from tire throw, and a light dark scratch on the driveside arm right at the pivot.  Otherwise close to perfect.  Original pads have ~85% life left, though they were worn very slightly concave from running on thin tubular rim braking surfaces.  Good enough for show bikes, aside from truly NOS ones.

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
