Description
The legendary Cobalto brakes were released in 1986 or 1987, as a replacement for the problematic Delta brakes. They were issued with both Super Record and C-Record gruppos. They're largely a 1983 50th anniversary Super Record brake, with the cobalto blue gemstone in the brake nuts.
Condition
Excellent to near mint lightly used shape! The rear brake is very close to pristine with no real wear to note. The front brake does have a few scratch/scuffs near the Campagnolo logo and on the upper arm leading to the barrel adjuster, but they're all pretty light. Original pads on both have ~85% life left and look wonderful. The o-rings on the barrel adjusters are just barely dirty and a bit cracked but still quite presentable (if you want perfect shiny white rings, I have them HERE). Original Cobalto gemstones are pristine. The rear is absolutely worthy of any show bike. The front is worthy of all but pristine NOS show bikes.
