Item Condition
Item Condition
I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description
Description
Aero seatpost from the mid-late 1980's, in the most common size for steel bicycles. Engraved Campy shield logo. Identified as first gen made from 1983-1986 by the subtle rim at the bottom of the aero section, the limit line only says "Limit" where the 2nd gen says "Limit Made in Italy", the chromed bolt, and the "5" imprinted on the neck.
Condition
Near mint very lightly used shape. From the clamp down to an inch below the bottom of the aero section is near perfect, with only tiny imperfections and a lovely original polish. Below that there are insertion marks, though not too bad. As long as you need no more than 1" below the aero section exposed, this will look minty on your show bike!

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
