This crank is identified as a 1st generation Athena crank (vs a Chorus RS, Croce d' Aune) by it's less tapered (thicker) spider arms. Otherwise it is quite similar to the other 8 speed models.  It has date stamp 42 in a square, indicating 1989 build.

Average used shape with cosmetic wear.
