Brooks Swift Titanium Leather Saddle: Antique Brown

The Brooks Swift is the "racer's" leather saddle.  It is significantly narrower, lighter, and sleeker looking than the B17 and Team Pro.  For those of you who hate the beefed up, high-railed, side-skirted look of most Brooks models, this is the one for you!  It weighs only 390g, and retails for $316.

From the Brooks website:

"The handsome Swift was the youngest gentleman's racing saddle in the Brooks range. It features delicately hand skived lower sides, where a thin stripe of the leather top surface is cut back, thus exposing the lighter coloured suede beneath which makes for an attractive visual accent and greater comfort when pedalling. The large copper rivets at the nose and tail are also hammered by hand, commensurate with our usual high level of attention to detail. As is the case with all of our hand manufactured saddles, the Swift proudly sports a metal nameplate at the rear, and in addition two embossed graphic details on the sides featuring the saddle name and incorporating an icon of a Swift in flight."

Condition

Lightly used, with a great looking patina.  Some minor marks, but no tears/scuffs/damage.  It's slightly broken in and the leather is significantly softer than a brand new saddle, but there are not the sit-bone indents found on a well broken in saddle.  This is a perfect amount of break-in...just enough to make it softer than a rock, but young enough to be formed to your own rear end.  I personally rode this saddle for a period, and loved it!  I tend to like ultra-wide saddles though, and went back to my tried and true Brooks Pro.
