Item Condition

I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description

The Brooks Colt is the leather saddle marketed towards the younger generation.  It's also one of the least common models.  Why ride a B17 or Swift when you can be unique?  The color is labeled "Rasberry", and is a lovely antique-red.  It will get a bit deeper with use/sweat.  It's a "special" model, with the large copper rivets.  MSRP  $192.

From the Brooks website:

"First produced in 1979, the Colt became famous among Brooks fans for its strength and durability.  The Colt was discontinued amidst mysterious circumstances a few years ago, but still remains a common sight on roads and avenues around the globe, a testament to its aforementioned qualities. Oddly many a Colt found its home atop BMX bicycles during this time, an unusual deployment for a Brooks saddle, but certainly not inappropriate.

Today the Colt appeals to a new generation already romanced by the 80's retro look, and has been re-introduced in colours that appeal to this younger, style-conscious demographic.

Condition

Excellent lightly used shape.  The saddle does not have any indentions from break in, and has very few miles.  The leather is in great shape, though though has a couple black marks near the rear.

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
