I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description

This rare Williams steel chainset from the 1950's and early 1960's came on Raleigh Lenton Grand Prix and probably others.  It's gorgeous outer chainring features the Raleigh Heron prominently carved into the metal at 3 points between arms.  It's an exceptionally detailed feature not usually seen on this level of crank, it's usually reserved for the luxury items like BSA's nicer stuff and Chater Lea.  It's half step gearing chainrings are a swaged on set, pinned to each other.  It would look amazing on a shelf or as an attention getting feature on your British L'Eroica bicycle.

Condition

Exceptionally clean with minimal imperfections and low miles.  The chrome is brilliant and clear, the only exception being the face of the non-driveside arm having some odd miscoloration.  The arm ends have only a few pinpoint gravel marks, no scrapes!  Chainrings show minimal use.  The square tabs on the  back of the chainring pins are a bit rusty.  This is worthy of a show bike or a prominent display spot on the wall.

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
