Wellgo Clipless / Platform Pedals: WAM-D10 DH / Commuter/ MTB NEW

*These DO NOT have traction pins! They have little divots where the pins would be, that you could drill out to fit pins (not included).  They do however, come with a bonus of toe clips and straps!

These pedals are SHIMANO SPD CLEAT COMPATIBLE! They'll use standard SM-51 or any other Shimano mtb cleat.  These are some versatile pedals! They were designed specifically for DH riding, so they're completely bombproof and very well made.  The platform is rather wide, making for a stable stance whether you're clipped in or wearing tennis shoes.  They have very high quality bearings, and spin extremely smoothly.  

I prefer these over Shimano A530 and M324, as those don't have nearly as good of platform traction on either the clipless or flat side.  The shimano models have the clipless part raised quite a bit from the platform around it, making for less than secure contact with the platform and your foot.

Are these pedals right for you? Well, do you fit one of the molds below?

1) Beginner clipless rider.  The extra wide platform around the spd makes finding the pedal with your foot and clipping in quite easy.  These have the platform side for when you don't feel like trying to learn.

2) Commuter who sometimes wears flat shoes for short trips or clipless shoes for longer rides.

3) Downhill rider.  Perhaps the ultimate DH clipless pedal! Huge platform on either side, indestructible magnesium body, good traction.

4) You love the feel of bmx pedals

5) You're a PBR drinking hipster.  Put these on your fixie and skid away without worry of your feet slipping from the pedals.
