Item Condition

I grade products as honestly as possible and depict blemishes in both description and photos—please study them carefully. I tend to be overcritical and customers report items to be in better shape than expected often. From best condition to worst condition, my grading scale is as follows. Mint / near mint+ / near mint / excellent+ / excellent / great / very good / average / fair.

Description

Classic Salsa stem!  Super cool on retro mountain bikes or 90's road bikes!  These are rare and highly sought after for their radical looks and awesome performance!  Probably from the early/mid 1990's.  Subdued white logos (vs the usual multicolored decals).  Clamp works with either 25.4 or 26.0 bars.

With the addition of the removeable faceplate and 25.8mm clamp, this model was designed to be run with WTB Dirt Drops!  Works just as well with Italian road bars.  This one's even more rare as it's about a 9 degree drop (most are zero degree).

Excellent condition.  Decals look great, with only a couple minor scratches.  Paintlooks very good with only minor cosmetic marks.

  • 1" steerer insertion
  • 25.8mm clamp (works with 26.0mm and 25.4mm bars)
  • 130mm length
  • ~9 degree  drop
  • Steel

I'm always buying high end bikes, parts, accessories, memorabilia, etc. While I'm particularly seeking large piles of new old stock parts, used items in nice condition are welcome.
